If you need to buy credits for your mobile phones or lottery tickets etc, there's a bar up the road which is ironically so named " The Bar on the Road"
The owner, Fabio will always give you a warm welcome and his vast selection of coffees, ice cream and cakes are exceptional. He also makes fresh wood fired oven Pizza's but only in the evenings and mainly in the summer months.

Although we have a very local convenience store/ mini supermarket within a a 100 metre walk which carries quite a wide range of grocery products including freshly baked, bread, cheese, milk, eggs, tinned food, frozen food, fresh fruit & vegetables, cakes, biscuits, tea, coffee, bottled water, beer, wine, cleaning products and most of your basic needs, we strongly advise to buy your main shopping from any one of the larger supermarkets.
The large Conan supermarket in Santa Domenica di Ricadi is strongly recommended due to it having a much larger selection of fresh food which includes a fresh bakery department, along with its own butcher and fresh fish counter.
Please note that Siesta time is normally anytime between 1pm and 4pm and if you time your visit to this particular store around sunset, you will be able to watch the infamously spectacular sunset of Tropea over the Aeolian islands.
There are many supermarkets scattered around the area, many more are in neighboring towns such as Nicotera and Ricadi.
You'll find lots of Souvenir shops in all the coastal resort towns but if you need to go shopping for clothes etc then apart from the shopping malls, you'll find that the larger towns and cities such as Vibo Valentia and Reggio di Calabria have many of the multiples which are found in the UK plus many of the Italian independent stores too!
The Vibo Centre, on the outskirts of Vibo Valentia is one typically large shopping complex which has many chain stores as well as independent shops and is well worth a visit.
There are many new shopping complexes in the Rosarno area which are close to the main A3 motorway.
You will find a new Decathlon Megastore and its surrounding selection of various stores well worth a visit.
