What Clients Say

"Review of the apartartment at Joppolo". Whilst most of our family holidays around the Med' have been with a growing family, our 1 regret was not finding this apartment sooner. Spacious, airy, and genuinely luxurious, leather sofas, the bedrooms, unlike so many European 'doubles', which are normally 2 singles pushed together. A great third bedroom for the kids or pals staying over. The kitchen was a boon for knocking together meals from the freshest of local ingredients. The view was 'to die for' a genuine panoramic vista, look closely at the seashore below, you may well spot the dolphins sporting in the shallows. The aircon was a blessing when the mercury hit 80F. And the tiny local bar about 100 mts up the road had both chilled beer and fantastic gelati to carry home for the sundowners on the balcony. Bellissima! Bravo to Solhols for a trip to remember.

"The word 'jewel' when describing holiday resorts is often over-employed, not here!!!!" Having travelled extensively, both for business & pleasure we've seen some sights, however, having arrived at night nothing could have prepared us for the view from the balcony in the morning, Mount Etna in the distance, snowcapped and gleaming in the morning sun. The little local train running along the single track at the foot of the hill directly below us hugging the shoreline away to the fabulously pretty town of Tropea. The evening brought one of the most amazing sunsets ( over Stromboli ) then it happened again each night!
Friendly natives??? The locals are some of the most pleasant individuals it has been my good fortune to meet....anywhere. Our only regret was the trip only lasted 10 days.
Can't wait to return for round two. When you do decide to go, please enjoy one of the most splendid places, the climate, scenery, enviroment. Truly a jewel.  Ps 80 degrees farenheit in spring.

This is a first rate apartment. It is totally as described in the advertising, if not better. The views over the sea are fantastic, it is a wonderful place to relax when you need a break plus access to all the wonderful countryside this part of Italy has to offer. Plus theres all the water sports, visits to small fishing villages, beautiful beaches and if you have a car do not miss the town Tropea a few miles to the north. We really enjoyed ourselves.

My Review of the apartartment at Joppolo: Lovely! Well-equipped and spacious apartment near to some really great places in this relatively undiscovered part of Italy. Good-sized bedrooms, with large balconies for enjoying the sea views. Decent sofas too! (How often have you rented a holiday apartment and found the sofas specially designed to be uncomfortable!?).
Car hire is pretty essential, as is a decent satnav - and a steady nerve to cope with the windy roads...and Italian drivers! Round the corner from a pretty well-stocked mini-market, and a few minutes' walk to an excellent bar/wood fired pizza restaurant.

Where should we just start and where stop? The communication between Peter + Steven and us was perfect from the beginning to the end (via e-mail), we always had the feeling that you wanted the best for us. When we arrived the apartment was very clean, it is equipped with everything you need for everyday life, it is really all there. The rooms are very spacious and very well equipped. It is not possible to summarize everything in the description. The view from the balcony is indescribably beautiful. The location is very good and quiet. We were there with our 4 children between 9 and 18 years. A car is an advantage. Tropea, Capo Vaticano, Scilla, Pizzo etc. are all within easy driving distance. The people are all very helpful and with Stefano and his great family Peter & Steven have an ace up their sleeve. We recommend the accommodation 100%. If you have a problem, Stefano is always ready to help. He speaks only Italian but thanks (Hidden by Airbnb) and our hand signals we got along well. A small suggestion for improvement: In the age of technology, one should give thought to W-Lan. Value for money: very good. If we are allowed, we will come back. Thank you
